Bangladesh government itself polluter.


This is a canal dumping sewage water into the Buriganga river of Dhaka city near second Buriganga Bridge in
Babu Bazar, Mitford, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Dhaka city sewage management authority (WASA) have
capacity 27% sewage tretment plant in Pagla, Narayangonj, Dhaka and balance 73% of sewage water
dumping into the four rivers which is beside Dhaka city as Buriganga river, Turag river, Balu river and
Shitalkhya river in Narayangonj, Dhaka. Dhaka Water Management Authority (WASA) taking this sewage
mixture water in the Sayedabad water treatment plant and treated this water than supplying as drinking water
the Residents of Dhaka city, Bangladesh.
