1. Bangladesh government decision to take steps to save rivers across the country.
2. Committee formed to save rivers especially Buriganga, Turag, Shitalakhya, Balu river from pollution and grabbing.
3. Lawmakers to visit rivers and see the sorry state.
4. Report to recommendations in two month.
5. If need be, changes to the existing law will be recommended to mete out punishment to river polluters and grabbers.
Conclusions: Nothing changed happened already three years gone. Lawmakers not yet passed any law to punishment to river polluters and grabbers so, now river grabbed is easy profession in Bangladesh.

Industrial Unit polluting Buriganga River In Dhaka, Bangladesh
350 Industrial unit in Shyampur area, Dhaka, Bangladesh discharging Industrial waste through Titas canal to the Buriganga River. All of these 350 industrial unit have not any waste treatment plant. Department of Environment have not took any action as a result day by day Buriganga River becoming dead river.
